Event Support Volunteers needed to assist at community talks across Glasgow on weekends—help engage attendees, hand out materials, and support event logistics. Ideal for friendly individuals comfortable using simple technology. No experience necessary!

Mary’s Meals is looking for friendly and enthusiastic Event Support Volunteers to assist at community talks and awareness events across Glasgow, primarily on weekends. Volunteers will help welcome attendees, hand out materials, engage with the audience, and support event logistics. Many events take place in faith-based venues, but all are welcome to volunteer. This is a great opportunity to meet people, gain experience, and help raise awareness of a global movement fighting child hunger. The role is ideal for confident communicators who are comfortable using simple technology, such as tablets (training provided). No experience is necessary, and scheduling is flexible based on availability. If you’re passionate about making a difference and enjoy engaging with the public, we’d love to hear from you!

We are able to offer reimbursement for travel expenses to ensure volunteers are not out of pocket.

If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). Once we receive your application to volunteer, we will aim to respond within 5 working days. We will arrange an informal chat with you to discuss the role and can offer an induction and training where required. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.
