Treasurer

The opportunity is to volunteer as a TREASURER on our Board of Trustees

STAND ( Striving Towards a New Day) is a SCIO which works across Fife and supports people with dementia and their families.

The Board has members who are living with dementia as well as current or former family carers. This role does not require that lived experience but rather a particular interest in the financial interests of the charity.


As a Treasurer you will:


-attend monthly board meetings


-Prepare and present financial information and reports


-Ensure compliance with legislation


-Ensure effective financial management


Experience required

You will be competent in the use of EXCEL spreadsheets, be able to read and prepare accounts for audit and be experienced in preparing and monitoring budgets. Bookkeeping and accountancy experience are required as well as knowledge of OSCR charity reporting (or willingness to learn)

Travel details

The Trustee meetings happen in person at Glenrothes or online from home

A finance subgroup meets monthly at the Independent Living Hub in Kirkcaldy

Travel expenses

Public transport or 45p per mile mileage costs can be reimbursed fortnightly

Training details

A comprehensive Induction will be provided by the Lead Development Officer and Administrator. The
previous Treasurer is also available for a handover.
