Role Overview
We are seeking a Volunteer Board Member to lead on local community engagement strategies. As part of our board, you will play a key role in strengthening Flosverse’s connections with the people of Alloa and the wider region. Your insights and guidance will help us design projects and initiatives that truly meet community needs.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach: Identify partnership opportunities and foster relationships with local groups, charities, and businesses.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with fellow board members to develop plans that address local priorities, ensuring diverse voices are heard and included.
Project Support: Advise on best practices for designing, launching, and evaluating community programmes.
Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for Flosverse, championing our mission and expanding our local presence.
Who We’re Looking For
Local Knowledge: Ideally someone with strong ties to Alloa or the surrounding area, who understands the local context and challenges.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and volunteers.
Passion for Social Impact: A genuine commitment to supporting local communities and driving positive change.
Organisational Skills: The ability to attend board meetings (usually quarterly) and contribute effectively to discussions and decisions.
Experience: Prior involvement in community engagement, volunteering, or project development is beneficial, though not essential.

Experience required
Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the Alloa community and its unique needs or challenges.
Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with local stakeholders, fellow board members, and the wider team.
Collaboration & Teamwork: The ability to work closely with a diverse group, fostering a positive and supportive board environment.
Organisational Skills: Capable of balancing board responsibilities with other commitments, and managing tasks to meet deadlines.
