• Property management, contracts, and factoring.

Project Ability creates opportunities through inclusive art for all. Since 1984, we’ve been supporting, celebrating and platforming diversity within the contemporary visual arts sector. Based in Glasgow’s award winning Trongate 103, we provide a welcoming arts community for people with learning disabilities and mental ill-health. We provide the space and expertise to allow our artists to express themselves, build confidence and achieve their potential.
Our three core workshops are:
ReConnect: An open studio for adults with experience of mental ill-health.
Aspire: A visual arts programme for adults with learning disabilities.
Create: An arts programme for children and young people with disabilities.
We also host a year-round calendar of projects, masterclasses and exhibitions to reach out and connect people and communities across Scotland. Our gallery and shop are essential spaces used to promote the artists and their work. Our exhibitions and unique shop items delight audiences from around the world as well as providing sales and publicity opportunities for the artists.
Through art, we believe the lives and wellbeing of people with disabilities and experience of mental ill-health can be improved. Our strong and vibrant community of artists learn skills, connect, collaborate, and build confidence whilst attending Project Ability.
This is a great opportunity if you would like to contribute to developing these art opportunities, as well as gaining professional Board experience.
Our Board meets six times a year at Trongate 103 and there are optional subgroups and events, such as exhibition receptions. We are keen to find people who are willing to give the necessary time and effort, and would enjoy being part of this amazing charity.
