The Active Schools programme aims to develop more and higher quality opportunities for children and young people to participate in sport and physical activity.
An Active Schools Sports Coach volunteer will either lead or assist at local sporting opportunities to support young people to access sport and physical activity, ensuring it is fun and safe.
Experience required
Active Schools ensure our volunteering opportunities are suitable for the level of experience each volunteer has. No previous experience is required to get involved however a passion for sport/physical activity and working with children and young people is important.
Travel details
Own travel arrangements will need to be made, if travel is required.
Support
Training details
Volunteers are supported with mentoring, a full induction and ongoing support and CPD.
There are opportunities for volunteers to gain awards and certificates to progress their skills and experience in delivering sport and physical activities.
