Club Facilitator (Levenmouth)

Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland is looking for someone passionate about sport that enjoys talking with older adults and who will bring their enthusiasm into the club session. The Session Facilitator works as part of a team of other Facilitators and Session Supporters to organise and run the club sessions. The role involves facilitating conversations and planning activities including games and quizzes.  The team of volunteers are there to ensure the smooth running of the club. Sporting Memories clubs support older people who may have a physical disability and/or memory issues. Some of the members are isolated and the club provides them with the opportunity to chat and reminisce about their favourite sports

Experience required

A passion for sport, the ability to plan and run a programme of activities utilising resources provided by Sporting Memories, good communication skills, a commitment to reliability and an awareness of confidentiality issues.

45p per mile or public transport costs upon proof of receipt

Training details

Online training session covers planning and running a club session (3hours). Online Policies and Procedures training session (1hour). Ongoing support is available from the Volunteer Coordinator and Fife Area Coordinator. Further training available - Dementia Awareness.
