Aberdeen Blueberry Wellness (ABW) is a social enterprise dedicated to improving community health through fitness education. We focus on supporting women through peri-menopause and menopause with tailored exercise programs that enhance well-being and workplace retention. Our vision is to create healthier communities by empowering local people to take charge of their health.

*Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Volunteer Administrator/Manager to support our CEO in implementing key initiatives. This role will help turn ideas into action by ensuring the smooth running of operations, coordinating activities, and assisting in the growth and reputation-building of ABW.

*Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the CEO, including scheduling meetings and handling correspondence.
• Assist with organising fitness programs, workshops, and community events.
• Help manage partnerships, volunteers, and key stakeholders.
• Support social media and marketing efforts to raise awareness of ABW’s work.
• Develop and maintain efficient administrative systems and processes.
• Assist in drafting reports, policies, and procedures as needed.


*What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in administration, operations management, or project coordination.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Passion for community health, fitness, and social impact.

Travel details

Remote. All volunteers work form home and we meet via Zoom on a monthly basis.

A monthly support meeting keeps us all updated, supported and working towards our social impact goals.

Support
Training details

Relevant guidance and excellent support is provided to all volunteers.

A meeting is arranged online at a convenient time for you. At the meeting you will learn about the organisation and our aims and community impact we wish to make. You volunteer role will be outlined and the volunteer hours will be agreed at this point. This meeting will take no longer than two hours.

Monthly volunteer meetings are held to keep volunteers informed, supported and delivering for our social impact.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Flexible times available to help. All help makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
