If you’re interested in and passionate about providing support and information for Ostomates (someone who has a Stoma) our peer-support group organisers roles might be just what you’re looking for.

We would like our support group organisers to run monthly meetings to benefit ostomates in the community. The hours are flexible and will vary depending on the volunteers’ availability to set up the group. This is an opportunity to also meet new people, make new connections and friends, while increasing your knowledge of the many different types/forms of stomas, their effects on daily living and services in your local area. You could learn new skills while offering much-needed support for people living with a stoma, their families, friends and those who care for them. As well as raising awareness of the work that Providing Ongoing Ostomate Support Scotland CIC (POOSScotland CIC) are doing.

We provide volunteer training, resources, and a team member contact to support you on your volunteer journey. We’ll cover reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering, this role may involve some fund-raising activities i.e. through sales of merchandise or other events when necessary.
