General Fundraising / Awareness Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to join us for fundraising/ awareness sessions in an area of your preference for as little as 2 hours, Perfect opportunity for companies who offer employee supported volunteering (ESV)
Choose a day and time that works for you to collect in your hometown.
Collect for Providing Ongoing Ostomate Support Scotland CIC (POOSScotland CIC) and help us make sure that we can be there for more Ostomates in the community.

• Collect Donations:
Act as a representative for Providing Ongoing Ostomate Support Scotland CIC (POOSScotland CIC), collecting funds with buckets or tins.

• Promote:
Spread awareness and share information about what Providing Ongoing Ostomate Support Scotland CIC (POOSScotland CIC) does in your community.


This role helps support vital services such as Peer Support Groups making a meaningful difference in the community.


Right now, there are approximately 20,000 Ostomates in Scotland many of whom would benefit from some form of peer support, our aim is to be able to provide that support to everyone who needs it.


Experience required
• Polite and organised.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with the local area
• Passionate about raising funds for Ostomates in the community.


Managing Director is happy to discuss all details, ensure supplies are sent and arrangements made for donations to be received by telephone or email, so no formal training is required.


Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Children and Teenagers can also join but they must be accompanied by an adult


Frequency & commitment
A minimum commitment of 2 hours on a selected day and time that works for you is all that's required. Fundraising Volunteers are welcome to contribute additional hours if they wish, but this is entirely optional.
