Warm Welcome Volunteer - Lomond Centre

Warm Welcomes have been established in various venues and setting across Fife which are designed to offer safe, warm places for people in our communities to spend time, participate in activities and access support. The provision encourages people to socialise with others and meet people in a local space.

The Warm Space provision at the Lomond Centre is currently looking for volunteers to support the running of this service.

As a volunteer, you will support with the setup of the room, greet members of the public as they arrive and support to prepare and serve simple hot meals. Engaging in conversation with people who visit the sessions and sign post them to other services and support available to them.

Experience required

Confidence preparing large quantities of meals would be desirable but not essential. Volunteers should hold a Food Hygiene certificate or be willing to undertake this training before commencing, however other roles are available which would not require this - such as greeting people, recording numbers and setting up tables etc.
