Lunchtime Cover Kitchen Helpers

Heart of Scotstoun is a community-led centre with plenty of opportunities, groups and resources, with the HoS cafe at its core.
We are looking for volunteers with an exciting new opportunity to help with our Kitchen and Cafe. This would be to help with the lunchtime rush, when our Cafe is at its busiest.

Duties will include taking orders, clearing tables, cleaning tables and resetting the cafe space and, if required, helping to wash up. You will be supporting the small but fantastic kitchen team and will be able to get a lunch post the shift, and breaks when required. The cafe can get very busy and lively!

We have opportunity for all, or one of the following days: Tuesday and Friday with occasional Thursdays, from 11:30 until 2pm. If another day would be suitable, then please let us know. In our Kitchen and Cafe, you are able to gain some valuable work experience and see how a catering and social subsidised kitchen runs.

On joining you will be invited to an informal interview session in house, where you will be provided with paperwork and given a tour of the premises. Ideally it would also be a weekly opportunity.

Please call 0141 433 0424 or email info@heartofscotstoun.org.uk for more information.

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.

Experience required

Ability to be on your feet, good command of English, and ability to change jobs when busy.
