Create a Promotional Video for a Social Impact Campaign!

Volunteer Opportunity: Create a Promotional Video for a Social Impact Campaign!

Are you passionate about storytelling, creativity, and making a difference? Migrant Women Press is looking for a volunteer videographer to help bring our upcoming crowdfunding campaign to life!

About Us:
Migrant Women Press is a migrant women-led independent media organisation that amplifies the voices of women from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life in new places. As our community grows, we’re preparing to launch a crowdfunding campaign to take our work to the next level—and we’d love your help to tell our story.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has video production and editing skills—whether you're a student, a recent graduate, a self-taught creator, or an experienced hobbyist
Has experience or a strong interest in video production and editing
Can offer creative ideas around scripting, filming, and storytelling
Works independently and can meet agreed deadlines

Your Role Will Include:

• Working with our team to develop a short (1–3 minute) promotional video
• Helping to shape the tone and message of the campaign
• Capturing or sourcing footage (remotely or in-person depending on your location)
• Editing the final video for use on our website and social media channels

Time Commitment:
Approximately 10–20 hours over 2 weeks (depending on the filming, editing, and revisions involved). We’re flexible and can work around your schedule.

Why Get Involved?
• Build your portfolio with a meaningful project
• Collaborate with a passionate, mission-driven team
• Receive credit on our campaign and social media
• Gain valuable experience in creative industries and the non-profit sector

How to Apply:
If you are interested, please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder for your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out, please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow at info@volunteerglasgow.org.

We’ll review your application and get in touch within 5 working days.
If it’s a good match, we’ll invite you to a short informal chat (online or by phone) to discuss the project, your ideas, and how we can collaborate.
Once confirmed, we'll share a creative brief and timeline to get started!
Full support will be available throughout—you won't be working alone.
