This Role is with One Parent Families Scotland. The event volunteer will be based in our Dundee Office, Families House, Fintry. Although we are based in one area of Dundee we support single parent families across the city.
The event volunteer will be an integral part of the events we are running which have a focus on financial wellbeing. These events will be run at regular intervals during the year.
The event volunteer will be involved in the whole process, from the initial planning of events, research topics for events, network with local organisations to partner with, gathering feedback and compiling evaluations once the events have been completed. We hope that by being in this role the volunteer will gain valuable skills and experience which will support them into future employment. The volunteer will have the opportunity to complete an adult achievement award during their volunteering with OPFS.
Experience required
Although no experience is necessary, it would be beneficial for the volunteer to have a background knowledge and some experience in organising groups and activities and an understanding of financial wellbeing.

Travel expenses
All travel costs relating to the volunteering role will be reimbursed. Receipts should be kept.
Support
Training details
There will be training opportunities in this role, the volunteer will receive induction training, there will be opportunities to complete safeguarding training, and further training related to the role.
Taster
Volunteers can have the opportunity to visit our base in Fintry to get to know our organisation, the role and meet the staff. Prior to starting in the role.
