Visitor Experience Ambassador

Ambassadors are responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, providing information about the organization's mission, and sharing stories about the transformative impact of guide dogs on individuals with low vision or blindness. They engage with visitors, answer questions, and help raise awareness about the services and support provided by Guide Dogs. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and enjoy interacting with the public.

Experience required

Ideally you will:
· Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Be confident to present information to large groups of people.
· Have confidence in using technology.
· Be comfortable in an environment with dogs (where applicable).

Volunteering is a two-way street, so in return for your time you will get a dedicated volunteer manager/key contact who will help you settle in and support you during your time with us. You’ll also

· The satisfaction in knowing you are supporting people with sight loss to live actively, independently, and well.
The opportunity to network with a variety of individuals at Guide Dogs.

Training details

This role includes four hours of comprehensive training, after which you'll be fully prepared to start. The training modules cover essential topics such as GDPR compliance, effective content delivery, and site-specific health and safety protocols.
