You will be a link between the Depot and the charities, getting the food to where it is needed. You will be the friendly face of FareShare, doing tasks within food safety guidelines. Your tasks will include:
loading up the delivery van with food alongside other volunteers;
dropping off the weekly orders of food at local charities;
collecting surplus food from local businesses with the help of another volunteer;
keeping the delivery van clean and tidy.
We will provide support and training.

Travel details

Volunteering starts at 5a Seafield Way at the Cyrenians FareShare Depot. Free parking available to those who drive.
Buses:
Clermiston number 1 service, getting off near McDonalds and walking along for 19mins.
Gyle number 12, getting off at the Portobello bus depot and walking along for 11mins.
Kings Road 15, getting off at Goff Avenue and walking along for 17mins.
Clerwood 26, getting off at Goff Avenue and walking along 17 for mins.

Travel expenses

Mileage and bus fares reimbursed.
