Deputy Fundraising Group Coordinator

Could you help inspire and motivate a team of volunteer Fundraisers in your local area as a Fundraising Group Coordinator or support them to get things done as the Deputy Fundraising Group Coordinator?

In these leadership roles, you can use your skills to make a huge difference to people’s lives. In return, you’ll gain experiences, memories, and friendships that last a lifetime.

Our local fundraising group is looking for a deputy coordinator to support the group in raising money in your local community from a variety of activities such as collections, social events, and Tea Parties.


This is a volunteer (flexible hours) role—typically part-time and highly adaptable. Tasks can be shared across the team, making it suitable if you have busy weekdays or evenings


What you’ll be doing as a Fundraising Group Coordinator
You can make the Fundraising Group Coordinator role your own - you can take on as much or as little as works for you, with the option to share the role. You’ll also have the full support of the team and your Guide Dogs volunteer manager.


You can help by:
In this role, your support will include:
•Supporting in organising and attending events and collections in your local area, such as the Great Guide Dogs Tea Party. Informing your key contact and relevant members of these events.
•Supporting in building relationships with local networks, organisations, schools, and social groups to host events or to name their own puppy.
•Delegating tasks and responsibilities to other volunteers within your fundraising group in the absence of the Fundraising Group Coordinator.
•Supporting in making sure fundraising policies and procedures are followed; including all roles are maintaining their required records.

-You’ll also get to meet incredible dogs – from puppies and guide dogs in training to qualified guide dogs working in partnerships.
-You’ll visit new places and enjoy fun days out with your team.
-You can share your existing skills and develop new skills, as we’ll also provide all the training you need for the role.
-You’ll have a dedicated volunteer manager and a team of volunteers who will help support you throughout your role.

Training and support
All our volunteers are given the training they need to support them in their role. This is usually delivered online through an engaging and interactive training programme, but can also be offered in other formats. Examples of the modules you will be learning for this role include:


-How to organise an event.
-Ideas for successful fundraising events.

Expect to travel within Glasgow and surrounding areas—Rotas and events are arranged locally, often near where volunteers live

Volunteering should never leave you out of pocket. We pay reasonable expenses related to your volunteering with us, including travel costs.
