At East Fortune airfield, we are re-creating allotments originally tended by RAF personnel. We are looking for people to join the volunteer gardening team are developing fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens at the Museum, reflecting the site as it was during the Second World War. This is a living exhibit that enhances our learning & engagement programmes, provides local produce for the café and enhances the visitor experience.
Experience required
Some gardening knowledge preferably of native plants.
Personable and happy to work as part of team.
Able to undertake moderate physical activity, such as, carrying, kneeling, walking.

Frequency & commitment
A short day or a morning or afternoon once a week with less regular attendance during the winter months. Flexible: Organised by arrangement between the volunteer and the rest of the team.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
