Dynamic Community Fusion is looking for volunteers who could use and share their skills to support people living in the Scottish Borders with an acquired or traumatic brain injury through their group activities.
Main tasks
• To greet and welcome service users to our monthly support groups.
• To prepare and offer refreshments to service users and other visitors to our groups.
• To help our service users learn new skills through activities that are running as part of the groups, such as floristry, boccia, gentle movement, arts/crafts.
• To help with other events running throughout the year such as Brain Injury Awareness week and fundraising events.

• All volunteers must be PVG checked prior to the role being offered
• Training will be provided before commencing the role.
Frequency & commitment
Support is required for monthly groups run on: Galashiels Men's group - 1st Thursday of the month 10.30am-12.30pm Berwickshire group in Eyemouth - 2nd Thursday of the month 12.30-2.30pm Galashiels group in collaboration with Headway - 3rd Tuesday of the month 11.30am-1.30pm Peebles group - Last Thursday of the month 1.30-3pm
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
