About this opportunity
Money and finances are a huge concern for young people and can have a significant impact on wellbeing and reaching your goals. It’s vital young people have a say in shaping the financial products and services that impact your lives!
Young Scot is working in partnership with the Edinburgh Futures Institute and their Compassion in Financial Services Hub to hear directly from and work with young people, as well as financial experts and academics. It’ll be an opportunity to understand how money and financial products and services have an impact on young people’s futures from housing, making decisions about your future opportunities, family planning, retirement and so many other aspects of life.
We are running four in-person events across Scotland, kindly supported by Royal Bank of Scotland and ‘Thinking the Future of Money in the Humanities’ funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, to hear from young people about how money affects your daily lives, your wellbeing and aspirations for the future, as well as how money and finances affects the decisions you make. We’ll be exploring your experiences as well as how we can make services more inclusive and accessible for young people in the future.
Join us at one of the in-person events to share your experiences and have your say!
We are happy to make reasonable adjustments to help you take part based on your needs. All young people are welcome at Young Scot including those with disabilities, neurodiversity, queer young people and ethnic minorities.
We’re keen to collaborate with young people who can sometimes have more barriers to taking part in opportunities due to their personal circumstances. This includes ethnic minorities, disabled young people, young carers, care-experienced young people, and young people who live in low-income households.
This application form is also available as a word document and we also accept verbal applications made using video or voice recordings. If you need any support with signing up, please contact us at YSHive@young.scot and we’ll be happy to help.
Sign-up closes on 24th July.
