Dunfermline Gilbert and Sullivan Society (DGASS) are looking for a Stage Manager to support with their annual production.
DGASS puts on a show every February to keep alive and celebrate the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. They also run an annual summer concert.
As Stage Manager, you would be responsible for moving scenery and props, assembling and dismantling scenery, setting up the stage for productions, and more.
If you are interested in music, stage management, or would like to learn, this could be the perfect role for you. Full training and support will be provided by the production manager and the rest of the friendly team.
Experience required
No specific skills or experience is required, as training will be provided, although an appreciation of the arts would be a plus. Volunteers must be reasonably physically able as the role requires moving props.
Travel details
Practice takes place in Limekilns Church, Church Street, KY11 3HT. Shows take place in Carnegie Hall, East Port, Dunfermline, KY12 7JA.
Travel expenses
Expenses can be offered on an individual basis.
Support
Training details
Volunteers will be supported by the production manager on an ongoing basis, and can be trained to do this role.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
