Volunteers required for Music and Art workshops CHRYSTON

We are inviting volunteers to come along to Project 42 - Chryston held every Sunday from 13:00-16:00 to assist our tutors with facilitating our weekly workshops.

Tasks will include:

Assist workshop facilitators in setting up and organising arts and crafts materials and equipment.

Welcome participants and help them feel comfortable and supported throughout the workshop.

Provide individualised assistance and guidance to participants as they work on their projects.

Ensure all service users are aware of our tea/coffee station and offering to bring them a hot drink.

Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by encouraging creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

Assist with cleanup and tidying after the workshop to ensure the space is safe and welcoming for all.

Our music tutor offers tuition on any of the following:

Experience required

Passion for art and crafts and/or music and a willingness to share your enthusiasm with others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude towards participants' creative endeavors.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from workshop facilitators.

Previous experience in arts and crafts, music, teaching, or working with dive

Travel details

Chryston Community Hub is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found on Lindsaybeg Road. The nearest train station is Stepps which is the next village over. For those travelling by car, there is a car park attached to the facility.

Travel expenses

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed on production of a valid public transport ticket.
Fuel will be reimbursed at a rate of 45p per mile from your home to Chryston Community Hub and back again.
