Join the fun as a Fundraising Group Member with Canine Partners! Team up with fellow volunteers to help plan and deliver exciting local events that help raise vital funds for amazing assistance dogs. You’ll meet monthly, share ideas, plan activities, and be the friendly face of Canine Partners in your community.
About the opportunity
This role involves being an active member of a Canine Partners Fundraising Group, working alongside fellow volunteers to arrange fundraising events in your local community. You would attend regular group meetings to discuss upcoming activities and ensure plans are in place for events throughout the year.
We request that there should be a minimum requirement of one meeting per month, as well as additional planning and activity when required. However, the amount of time you commit depends on the nature of the activities held by the group.
What’s involved
Work with your fellow group volunteers to organise fundraising events and activities to raise money for Canine Partners
Taking on tasks to assist with the organisation of fundraising events
Liaising with the Fundraising Group Leader to organise events and keep Canine Partners updated
Being the public face of Canine Partners within your local area
Passing leads to your Canine Partners Staff Contact
Role Requirements
Age 18 or over
Happy to contribute to event planning and on the day tasks
Access to your own transport with flexibility to visit different locations
Polite, confident and personable manner
Excellent customer service skills
Some elements of this role could require standing for the duration of the session and/or being in a busy environment. Please advise us if you have any concerns about this, and we will do our best to support you

• Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills (helpful but not essential)
• Flexibility to support events or meetings as needed

Travel details
Canine Partners maintains a Scotland-wide volunteering network, which includes speaker opportunities and is supported by their Scottish community team. Volunteers will be speaking to groups in and around Glasgow as part of that regional programme.
Travel expenses
Expenses are paid monthly by BACS

Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
