Trustee

Become a Trustee of Rail 74 Community Rail Partnership

Are you passionate about making a difference in your local community? Do you believe in the power of sustainable transport, community connections, and local pride?

Rail 74 Community Rail Partnership is looking for committed and community-minded individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary role where you’ll help shape and guide our work along the Rutherglen–Blantyre - Newton - Cambuslang - Hamilton–Motherwell rail corridor.

As a trustee, you’ll play a key part in:

  • Supporting community-led initiatives that promote mental health, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

  • Building strong partnerships with local groups, schools, and businesses.

  • Helping us improve local stations and create welcoming, accessible spaces for all.

  • Influencing transport and regeneration policies in South Lanarkshire and beyond.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and especially value lived experience, local knowledge, and a passion for community development. Whether you’re new to governance or an experienced trustee, your perspective and enthusiasm will be valued.

Interested?
Get in touch for an informal chat—we’d love to tell you more about what we do and how you could be involved.

Together, we can make our communities stronger, greener, and better connected.
