Chairperson

Cardenden Amateur Swimming Club is a family friendly swimming club established over 50 years ago. The club aims to teach children aged 4 - 15 to swim in an environment where they feel comfortable, catering for those just starting out up to competitive length swimmers.

A chairperson is required to assist the board in the running of the club. Responsibilities include:

· Chairing and facilitating board meetings every 6 – 8 weeks

· Oversee the management of the club with the Board of trustees

· Monitoring the implementation of actions and decisions at board meetings

· Ensuring the club meets governance and legislative requirements

· Attending Fife Swimming Club meetings 4 – 5 times per year

If you would like to be involved in a club which supports children in the local community to have fun as well as learn a key skill, whilst supporting their physical and mental health, the club would love to hear from you.

A range of skills and experience is welcome. Experience of engaging as part of a team, organising and delegation are desirable. Good interpersonal skills and confidence in networking with other organisations are essential.
