Chair of the Trustee Board

As the Chair of the Trustee Board, you will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring that the 21st Craigalmond (South Queensferry) Scout Group operates safely, legally, and effectively. You will be responsible for steering the Board towards achieving strategic goals while supporting your fellow trustees and volunteers in delivering exceptional programmes that empower young people with skills for life.

Training details

We organise learning for Scouts through what we refer to as the Learning Tree. The Learning Tree consists of two main parts:


  1. Growing Roots: This includes the essential training that all new volunteers are required to complete within their first six months.

  2. Branching Out: This represents the optional learning opportunities that allow volunteers to expand their knowledge further and pursue accreditations.
