To help create a welcoming, organised, and inspiring environment at the MCA Volunteer Hub by supporting displays, resources, and day-to-day operations.
Tasks/Activities to be undertaken:
Creative Displays:
Design and maintain engaging wall and window displays that reflect current volunteer opportunities and community themes.
Refreshment Station:
Keep the tea and coffee area clean, stocked, and inviting for volunteers and visitors.
Information Management:
- Keep volunteer opportunity folders up to date and accessible.
- Organise and maintain promotional materials and items.
Resource Support:
- Create and organise ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) learning materials.
- Assist with general admin and organisational tasks around the hub.
Experience required
Essential:
Good general IT skills
A friendly, approachable attitude
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
An interest in supporting community and volunteer development
Desirable:
Creativity and an eye for presentation
Experience in admin or resource organisation
Knowledge or interest in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Knowledge of using Canva
Travel details
Our office is in the center of Dalkeith which many bus routes serves. Our office does not have a car park.

Training details
All volunteers will be provided with an initial induction/training session. Ongoing training and support will also be provided including group facilitation training.
