Community Garden Volunteer

Nestled in the stunning walled garden of Blair Castle, Culross, Grow West Fife garden is a haven where they grow fresh food, foster new friendships, and share the joy of nature.
They're all about relaxing, connecting, and having fun—no hard labour, just a peaceful place "to be." From all walks of life, come enjoy the garden's natural beauty, alongside friendly faces, and make lasting bonds. All abilities welcome – they cater to everyone with a variety of activities to choose from!
They host two weekly gardening sessions and their organic harvest gets shared with volunteers and local pantries. Some is also used for delicious meals for their Friday lunch clubs.
No gardening or cooking skills? No problem—learn with them! Whether it's planting, prepping meals, or simply chatting in the sunshine, your help makes everyone feel welcome.
Ready to dig in (gently)? They’re always seeking new volunteers! Let's grow together!

Experience required

The garden is open to all regardless of ability. Grow West Fife likes to promote a friendly, joyful, welcoming atmosphere.

Support
Training details

Volunteers will receive relaxed and informal training during gardening sessions to teach them to grow food. Support is available from the Head Gardener and the volunteers.
