Spirit of Springburn
- VO103888
To help a charity that has been running for five years now, mainly volunteer-led in their local community, and support and develop roles going forward. Spirit of Springburn SCIO set up back in 2021 to take forward the local consultation findings of changes needed in our local community. More recently, and with the publication of Springburn Local Place Plan, much work is needed to help streamline and prioritise projects going forward. We need skills in Finance, Strategy, business set-up, events management, volunteering and staff support, funding applications and generally good all-round lived experience to move us in the right direction.
We run a community hub which was set up at the beginning of the pandemic and has now become a much-needed resource in Springburn. This is only one side of our work however, with the regeneration of Springburn being our main reason for being, and to source new and exciting opportunities for local people. We provide food and fuel help and assistance with health and wellbeing, form filling and also have set up a good resource centre for signposting to other professional services. There's much more information which can be discussed at a face to face meeting.
