Community Awareness Volunteers

Volunteer Opportunity: Leafleting for The Scottish Pantry Network

Are you looking for a way to give back to your local community? The Scottish Pantry Network is seeking friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help raise awareness about our work in the Tollcross/Shettleston area.

What you’ll do:


Distribute leaflets to households and local businesses.

Inform residents about our pantries and the support we provide.


Be a friendly face representing a local organisation tackling food insecurity.

Who we’re looking for:


Volunteers aged 16+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).


Friendly, approachable, and motivated to engage with the community.


Able to spend time walking around local streets distributing leaflets.

When: Flexible – we can arrange shifts that suit you.

Experience required

Friendly and approachable with good communication skills.

Reliable and able to turn up on time.

Comfortable walking outdoors and delivering leaflets door-to-door.


Able to work independently and as part of a team.


A positive attitude and willingness to represent The Scottish Pantry Network.


Travel details

You can reach us on public transport via the city centre directly via bus (61, 64 & 240) or nearest train station is Cartyne with approx 20 minute walk to our offices from the station.

Travel expenses

We reimburse travel expenses, provide lunch and meal kits for everyone who volunteers
