Are you passionate about combating climate change and making the world a better place for future generations? ?? Do you believe in the power of community and the strength of diverse voices? Parents for Future Scotland is on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Trustees.
About Us: Parents for Future Scotland is a climate advocacy charity driven by the belief that every child deserves a sustainable and thriving planet. We work tirelessly to raise the voices of parents and inspire action to address the climate crisis. We offer mutual support to plan and organise actions that educate, influence policy and bring people together with a shared sense of purpose.
Why Join Our Board? Join a team of passionate and dedicated individuals who have built this movement from scratch.
It's a really exciting time to join. We gained charitable status in March 2024 and have grown our team and community engagement. We know what we do works (1/3 of parents who receive talks from our team join our movement). We are serious about challenging the systems that perpetuate climate change and making the world more livable for all children across the globe. At a time where your skills have never been needed more, you can make a difference in empowering parents locally, nationally and globally to halt climate change and the worst of its effects. By joining our board, you'll have the opportunity to:
Shape the strategic direction of our charity.
Collaborate with passionate individuals who share your commitment to environmental justice and sustainability.
Advocate for policies that prioritise the well-being of our planet and future generations.
Be part of a movement that amplifies the voices of local parents and communities in the fight against climate change.
Feel supported in this fight with like minded individuals.
A minimum time commitment of 4 hours every 2 months is required to attend our board meetings. These are typically in person in the Glasgow area. We do prefer in person meetings for these however will consider hybrid on occassions. Reasonable travel and childcare expenses will be covered. Additional time commitments are optional and flexible and you’ll join a supportive group who understands that sometimes life gets in the way.

Who We're Looking For: We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive board that truly represents all of society. We are specifically looking for two trustees:
