Furniture Plus provides affordable furniture to people in Fife through their Dysart and Dunfermline stores, supporting the community and the environment by reducing waste and encouraging reuse. They are looking for Book Champions to organise their book donations and take charge of the book section of the store in Dunfermline.
The main tasks include:
• Sort book donations
• Price and display books for sale
• To ensure the book section is well-presented, clean and tidy at all times
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys books and reading to put their knowledge to good use and make a difference to your community.

Experience required
Furniture Plus are happy to receive volunteers who are willing and keen to learn new skills, whilst growing confidence, meeting new people, have fun and feeling part of your local community. A passion and knowledge for books, an ability to organise, and an understanding of the value of books would be appreciated.

Travel expenses
Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets.
Support
Training details
They provide a full induction (Health & Safety). Each volunteer will be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff to begin with, and there will always be a named contact on hand to provide support.
