Collections Volunteer

Help turn spare change into life-changing support by becoming a Collections Volunteer for Canine Partners! In this flexible and rewarding role, you’ll place and manage collection tins in local shops, cafés, and community spaces, raising vital funds for amazing assistance dogs.

What’s Involved
- Identifying local businesses that would hold a collection tin in your community
- Emptying collection tins on a regular basis or when they’re full
- Completing the income monitoring sheet
- Counting and banking money in a timely manner as per our cash handling guidelines
- Informing and updating your Canine Partners Staff Contact of the locations of collection tins to maintain our records

It’s a great opportunity for friendly, organised individuals who enjoy being out in the community. Your efforts will directly support Canine Partners’ mission to transform the lives of people living with disabilities.

Travel details

This opportunity is in various locations in the local area; volunteers can request the area they are able and willing to travel to.

Travel expenses

Mileage is paid at 45 pence per mile, public transport is paid at cost. Other expenses, such as subsistence, can be discussed with the volunteer’s named contact. All expenses are paid monthly through BACS.

Training details

You will receive ongoing training and support from a named contact. Training is held remotely, which includes guidance on cash handling.
