CHAS event volunteer - Murrayfield Collection - Scotland v New Zealand

Volunteering details

We have an exciting opportunity to make a real difference while soaking up the electric atmosphere of the Scotland and New Zealand match day! Join us for a bucket shake collection outside Murrayfield Stadium as rugby fans arrive to cheer on their teams, and leave after the game.

We’ll be collecting cash and contactless donations to support the our work at CHAS, helping children with life-shortening conditions and their families across the country.

There will be 6 different locations around Murrayfield Stadium on the day. Exact locations will be confirmed nearer to the time, and you will be added temporarily to a WhatsApp group for ease of team coordination on the day!

Why we want you
-Would you like to make a difference by volunteering at a CHAS fundraising event – just for the day? Whether you're cheering on participants, helping at a stall, or supporting behind the scenes, your time and energy will help raise vital funds for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

This is a one-off opportunity, so there’s no ongoing commitment – just a chance to get involved, have fun, and support a great cause.

What you will be doing

  • Anything from cheering on runners and walkers at events like the Edinburgh Marathon or one of the Kiltwalks

  • Taking on a short shift at a community stall to raise awareness

  • Shaking a bucket at a public collection

  • Helping out at a pop-up shop

What's in it for you
-Being part of the team of CHAS staff and volunteers raising awareness and funds – in lots of different ways - to provide unwavering care to the families of children with a life-shortening condition.
-Meeting new people
-Having fun!
