What we are looking for
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You don't need to have been a Trustee before- what matters most is your commitment to our values and your belief in power of communities.

In particular, we would value skills and experiences in one or more of the following areas:
-Finance, audit or fundraising
-HR and organisational development
-Legal and governance
-Community development or volunteering
-Strategic partnerships and public sector engagement.

As a Trustee, you will:
-Contribute to the governance and strategic direction of VAA
-Support and challenge the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team
-Ensure we are accountable, sustainable, and making the biggest impact possible
-Act as an ambassador for VAA and the wider third sector in Angus

Trustees are asked to attend around 6 Board meeting per year (usually late afternoon and in person) and occasional sub-groups and events. The role is voluntary but offers the chance to give back, develop your own skills and make a real difference in Angus.
