Beat the Winter Blues – Volunteer with Oxfam! Shop Volunteers Needed – Front of House & Behind the Scenes

Make a Difference This Winter

Could you help spread some festive sparkle in our shops? From creating winter-themed window displays to helping people find the perfect gift or outfit, there’s a role to suit everyone.

By volunteering in your local Oxfam shop, you’ll be making a real impact every day and supporting our work towards a kinder, fairer world without poverty. People join us for many reasons, but all our shop volunteers have one thing in common: they’re one-of-a-kind.

How You’ll Be Supported

You won’t be on your own – every volunteer is part of a friendly, welcoming team.

You’ll receive a full induction to help you settle in and understand your role.
Day-to-day guidance and support will be provided by shop staff and experienced volunteers.
Ongoing training and feedback will help you build confidence and learn new skills.
We’ll always check in to make sure you’re comfortable, supported, and enjoying your experience.

What Will You Do?

Sort and prepare donations, or hunt for hidden treasures.
Research, price, and display items on the shop floor.
Create window displays or help shape the look of the whole shop.
List items for sale online and track your sales.
Share stories, donations, or shop highlights that inspire others.
