Volunteer Mentor with MCR Pathways

Changing lives through the power of mentoring in Forth Valley

Imagine a young person with incredible potential, but no one to help them see it. You can change that by sharing just one hour a week. Become a volunteer mentor with MCR Pathways.

Just one hour a week can ignite the vital spark in a young person. Help confidence, ambition, and positive futures to glow.

We match our volunteers with a young person who has similar interests, and we also consider factors such as career aspirations, background, and personality. Mentoring takes place in the following schools: Bannockburn High School, Alloa Academy, Alva Academy, Lornshill Academy and Clackmannanshire Secondary Support Service.

We now also offer mentoring at Forth Valley College.

Each mentoring session lasts for 50 minutes. The aim is to build a relationship with the young person, to listen to them and support them to help them achieve their goals.

Sign up to find out more or if you are an employer and would like
to hear how your employees can benefit from being a mentor, reach out to Josh Morris who
will be able to arrange an information session [email protected].

Every hour dedicated to mentoring helps transform a life in your community!

(We ask for 1 hour per week, during term time only. You will be supported throughout the whole journey from registration, to being matched and beyond. Minimum age is 21 years old.)

Experience required

We encourage people to volunteer who have a genuine interest in working with young people, being able to offer a listening ear and the ability to build a mentoring relationship with a young person within a school/college environment.
