Uppertunity just turned 10, and we’re stepping into an exciting new chapter. We want your voice to help write it! We’re a Dundee-based charity dedicated to empowering adults with additional support needs and autism to lead fuller, more meaningful lives.
We’re looking for two new board members:
- Someone with lived experience of additional support needs and/or autism
- A parent or carer of someone with additional support needs
As a trustee, you’ll help shape our vision, champion our members’ voices, and get creative and hands-on through vision days, community events, and strategy discussions. You’ll gain new skills, confidence, and connections, and be part of a passionate, inclusive community making real change. Meetings are quarterly (in person or online), with opportunities to get more involved. No prior board experience needed, just enthusiasm, openness, and heart.
Experience required
Enthusiasm, integrity, and commitment to inclusion. Experience in governance, business, finance, or community work is welcome but not essential.

Training details
Training given in all aspects of role, on-the-job and in-person. All volunteers will receive welcome pack.

Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
