Volunteer for Our Christmas Toy Appeal at The Fort!

Want to spread festive cheer and help make Christmas magical for local children? Join us at the Glasgow Fort FARE Skills and Community Hub and be part of our heartwarming Toy Appeal! Help us ensure that every child in our community has a FARE Christmas and wakes up to a present on Christmas Day. 

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help manage our toy donation drop-off point. Whether you love the festive season or just want to give back, we’d love to have you on board.

What You Might Get Involved In:
• Welcoming and thanking donors dropping off toys
• Keeping the drop-off area tidy and organised
• Supporting the Toy Appeal team with festive tasks

Time Commitment:
We’re ideally looking for a weekly commitment of 2+ hours, but we’re flexible — any time you can give is appreciated!

Able to lift and carry toy donations (some may be bulky)
Reliable and punctual

Our FARE Skills and Community Hub is located next to Customer Services and the bathrooms at Glasgow Fort.

Travel expenses

Volunteers may request reimbursement for reasonable, pre-approved expenses incurred on behalf of FARE Scotland by submitting valid receipts. Examples of reimbursable expenses include:
• Travel between home and the volunteering site and travel during volunteering activities.
• Meal costs up to £7.00 (with receipts) when volunteering for four or more consecutive hours.
• Specialist clothing required for the role, subject to prior discussion and approval
