Retail Volunteer - Academy Street, Inverness

Exciting news!
We're opening a brand-new shop on Academy Street in Inverness this December - and we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team!
Our shops play a vital role in supporting Highland Hospice, helping to fund compassionate care across the Highlands. As a retail volunteer, you'll work alongside the Shop Manager and fellow team members to keep the shop running smoothly and raise funds through the sale of donated and new items.

Volunteer Role Includes:
Delivering excellent customer service
Sorting, pricing and displaying stock
Operating the till and handling cash
Keeping the shop clean, tidy and welcoming
Following retail and organisational policies
Learning about and sharing the work of the Highland Hospice

What we're looking for:
Honesty
Friendly and helpful attitude
Reliability and good timekeeping
Flexibility and willingness to adapt
Great customer service skills

Training details

Induction Programme
Introduction to the organisation, role expectations and key policies

Manual Handling (Inanimate Objects)
Refresher required every 3 years (Duration: 1 hour)

Fire Safety Awareness
Essential training covering fire prevention and emergency procedures


Shadowing with Experienced Volunteer
Practical, on-the-job learning alongside a seasoned volunteer
