To act as Treasurer for Abundant Borders.
To maintain effective governance of Abundant Borders' financial affairs, ensuring financial viability and that proper processes and procedures exist. Abundant Borders uses Xero accounting software. The treasurer will be asked to attend up to 6 board meetings per year, to sign off the annual accounts (prepared by accountants) and prepare and present the treasurer's annual report at the AGM. In addition the treasurer will assist in the everyday financial running of the charity.
The treasurer may carry out their duties from home with occasional visits to the office in Eyemouth. Trustee meetings can be attended in person or online.
Trustee meetings are flexible and agreed in advance.

Experience required
It would be great if you have some financial experience and experience with Xero software.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
