About the Opportunity
Knightswood FC First Team are looking to recruit a Volunteer Physiotherapist to support the squad on matchdays and during training sessions.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a live sports environment, developing practical skills in player care, injury prevention, and recovery.
You’ll be part of a welcoming, community-based football club in Glasgow’s West End competing in the West of Scotland Football League.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide pitch-side physiotherapy and first aid on matchdays and training nights.
Assess and manage minor injuries and monitor ongoing recovery.
Support players with injury prevention routines and rehabilitation plans.
Maintain injury records and help ensure medical kits are stocked.
Liaise with the coaching staff and manager to coordinate player care.
Follow the club’s safeguarding and concussion procedures at all times.
Commitment & Timing
Training sessions: typically two evenings per week.
Matches: Saturday afternoons (home and away).
Minimum commitment: 3 months, flexible to suit your schedule.
Location
Based in the Scotstoun Leisure Centre, 112 Danes Drive near Knightswood / West End area of Glasgow, with away matches across the West of Scotland region.
Home matches are played locally; venues confirmed each week.

Experience required
• Basic understanding of sports injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Confident with first aid and on-pitch decision-making (training can be provided).
• Calm, reliable, and organised under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
• Previous experience in a sports or physiotherapy setting (desirable, not essential).
• First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete club-supported training).
Travel details
• Must be able to travel independently to training sessions and matches.
• Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with club policy (keep receipts).
• Public transport routes and parking are available near most venues.

Availability
