Social Media Support Volunteer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Marketing team and hone your social
media skills. You’ll be making a real difference by helping to raise awareness of
Change Grow Live on social media and will be working within a supportive
environment with the opportunity to attend training.

Change Grow Live are a national health and social care charity that helps with
challenges including drugs and alcohol, housing and justice.

Purpose of role:
We share a wide variety of content on our social media platforms such as national and
local initiatives, harm reduction advice, stories, coverage and reports.


As a Social Media Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in supporting
the team with content creation and maintaining our social media presence.
This is an ideal role for someone who has a passion for writing, wants to gain valuable
experience managing social media accounts and is interested in working within the
drug and alcohol treatment and recovery sector.


Travel expenses, if needed, will be reimbursed and work equipment will be provided.


Key Activities:
• Support with monitoring our national social media profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn,
Instagram, X, Bluesky) and engaging with comments and queries.
• Support the team to create social media content in line with our social media
strategy.
• Support with identifying and sharing posts from our services and other relevant
accounts.
• Support with scheduling social media content.
• Support with tracking and analysing the results of our social media activity.
• Ensure compliance within relevant organisational policies and procedures

within this role and endeavour to create a positive and meaningful experience for
volunteers.


General terms of reference:
In carrying out the above duties the post holder will:
• Help Change Grow Live fulfil its role in offering the best service to our clients
• Perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability
• Follow the Change Grow Live’s procedures and standards, including health
and safety and equal opportunities, in relation to our staff, volunteers and
clients
• Maintain the confidential information of Change Grow Live and of our clients;
adhering to Change Grow Live’s policies and procedures
• Meet the time commitments and standards which have been mutually agreed
and to give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made when this
is not possible.


Person Specification
Education Knowledge and Experience:
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with professional boundaries
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• IT Literacy
• Experience of managing and maintaining social media platforms
• Passionate and reliable

passion for the role and willingness to learn.

This role can be carried out remotely from home or from one of our services located close to you.
