Fundraiser Volunteers

-About TAMS
TAMS (The Allotment Market Stall) helps local allotment holders share their surplus produce with the community. We collect and sell fresh, local fruit and vegetables at affordable prices, reducing food waste and celebrating community growing. You can find out more at www.tamstheallotmentmarketstall.org.uk

-About the Role
We’re looking for someone to help us keep TAMS thriving by supporting our fundraising efforts.
The Fundraiser will take the lead on looking for new grants and funding opportunities, coordinating applications, and helping to report back to funders when needed.
You don’t need to do this alone – the committee and other volunteers can help with writing, ideas, and gathering information. The Treasurer will support you with the financial parts of reports.
All tasks are open for discussion, so we can agree on what fits your interests, time, and experience.

-What You Might Do
Here are some examples of how you could help – we’ll shape the role around you:
• Keep an eye out for grant or funding opportunities that fit TAMS’s work.
• Lead on writing or coordinating grant applications (with support from other volunteers).
• Help gather stories, photos, and outcomes that show the impact of TAMS’s activities.
• Support report writing for funders – with help from the Treasurer for financial information.
• Attend committee meetings (about every 6 weeks) to share updates, ideas, and funding progress.
• Work with the team to plan ahead for future funding needs.
Don’t worry if you haven’t done all these things before – we can help you learn and support you along the way.

-Who We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who:
• Enjoys writing, organising information, or researching opportunities.
• Is interested in helping community projects stay sustainable and grow.
• Is comfortable working independently but happy to collaborate with others.
• Can give a little time regularly and keep an overview of funding activities.
• Has some experience or interest in fundraising, grant writing, or community projects (though this isn’t essential).

-What You’ll Get
• A warm welcome into a friendly, supportive volunteer team.
• The chance to make a real difference by helping TAMS secure the funding that keeps it running.
• Opportunities to build experience in community fundraising and teamwork.
• Support from the Treasurer and other committee members.
• Travel expenses covered for meetings and events (if needed).
• Satisfaction of seeing your efforts help local growers and the community.

-Interested?
We’d love to hear from you!
