Culter FC is offering an exciting and meaningful opportunity for a motivated and community-minded individual to play a key role in the growth of one of the North Region’s most respected semi-professional football clubs. Based in Peterculter the club has a proud history, deep local roots and ambitious plans for the future and we’re now looking for someone who wants to help drive that vision forward.

As Commercial Manager, you will be at the heart of the club’s external relationships, helping to identify and secure new sponsorship and partnership opportunities that directly support team development, facilities improvements, and long-term sustainability. This is a brilliant chance to take on a visible, outward-facing role where your communication skills, creativity and enthusiasm can make a real difference.

Working closely with the club’s Executive Committee and management team, you’ll help develop tailored sponsorship packages, engaging proposals, and fresh commercial ideas that appeal to local businesses and organisations. Whether it’s matchday partnerships, advertising opportunities, themed events, or brand-new initiatives you help shape, you will have the space to bring your ideas forward and see them come to life.

This opportunity is perfect for someone with an interest or background in sales, business development, marketing, or community engagement or for someone simply looking to gain valuable experience in the sports industry. It provides an excellent platform to build your professional confidence, expand your local network, and contribute to a club that plays a meaningful role within its community.

You will also help maintain and strengthen relationships with Culter FC’s existing sponsors, ensuring they feel connected, appreciated, and engaged. Attending home fixtures and selected club events, you will act as an ambassador for the club, representing its values and helping foster positive engagement with partners and supporters.

Volunteers will receive a full induction covering the club’s history, values, commercial objectives and current sponsorship portfolio. You’ll be introduced to key committee members, given guidance on our sponsorship packages, and supported in approaching local businesses.

Ongoing training is available through regular check-ins with the Executive Committee, who will provide mentoring, resources, and updates to help you succeed in the role.

You won’t be volunteering alone continuous support is offered to ensure you feel confident, informed, and part of the wider Culter FC team.

Travel details

The opportunity takes place with Culter FC, based at Crombie Park in Peterculter, Aberdeen.

Most activity happens locally, including attending home matches, meeting sponsors and engaging with nearby businesses. Travel is minimal and mainly within the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area. Occasional off-site meetings may occur depending on sponsor locations but arrangements are flexible and can be planned around your availability.

Reliable transport is helpful but not essential, as most duties can be carried out in and around Peterculter or remotely through email, phone and online platforms.

Training details
