Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland supports groups across Scotland to meet the needs of people living with chest and heart conditions and following a stroke.
This volunteer role is to support the running of a weekly group of people who meet to share their lived experience of one of our conditions, either Chest, Heart, Stroke, Long Covid or long term conditions. Main duties are to listen and encourage members to connect with each other, offer refreshments when needed and encourage to take part in activities such as hand eye coordination games.
Experience required
Essential
• Ability to communicate well with others and show empathy and kindness.

Desirable
• Knowledge and experience of our conditions; Chest, Heart, Stroke, Long Covid and long terms conditions
Approximately 3 hours per week
Location - Kelso, venue to be confirmed

Training details
CHSS will provide training to support you in your role.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Frequency & commitment
Minimum of 6 months commitment required
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
