We are a local Playschool based in Carnoustie looking for volunteers to join on board and create a fresh management committee, to keep our charity continuing in a positive direction, delivering funded and private early years childcare and learning experiences for 2-5 years old.
As a trustees of Panmure Preschool, you’ll be a valued contributor of this longstanding charity- playing a key role in our charity's direction, ensuring we continue to act in the charity’s best interests, use funds appropriately and are compliant with charity law. We were first established back in October 1978 and our 46 year long success is due to the continued support of experienced, caring and dedicated staff, alongside a supportive community of families and voluntary trustees. The organisation continues to have supportive families and staff, and a good level of children attending however we need to have committee members (trustees) in order to continue as a charity.
We now urgently require a Treasurer and Secretary to join our Chairperson to support the experienced Early Years Manager in the running of the organisation. Additional volunteers with other skills for general support and perspective would also be very welcomed. Our Chair would lead the termly meetings and trustees would support key decision making processes to support the organisation, managed day-to-day by an experienced Early Years Manager. The secretary would minute all meetings carried out by the committee and manage the actions. There is a separate voluntary opportunity for our Treasurer role (# VO104810). Support will be provided to all those interested in the role and any additional training can also be arranged if required.

Experience required

No experience necessary, looking for people with an interest in helping this organisation continue in its local service provisions for the community. Training in Committee skills and continual support will be offered to suitable candidates. Applicants with a knowledge of the following would be advantageous: Childcare, HR, social media, business/ admin, quality assurance or funding.
