Online Selling Assistant (Kirkcaldy)

The Cairn Centre, is a charity shop linked to Trust in Fife, a homeless charity working within Fife. The Cairn Centre, located in Kirkcaldy, offers pre-owned goods- from large furniture items to bric-a-brac- to the most vulnerable people within Fife and the general public.
The Online Sales Assistant role has been established to help build the Cairn Centre’s online presence and to boost the income from items that may reach higher value by selling online on established platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to take direct ownership of this section of the retail business and make it their own. As this role can be done without the need for the shop to be open flexible hours are available.
If you have experience of using online selling platforms, knowledge of current trends and popular and high-end brands this could be the ideal role for you.

Experience required

This role requires someone who is a good listener with good communication skills and the ability to work in a team and independently. You will be enthusiastic, have good customer service skills, a polite manner, be creative with the ability to engage with people and multi-task. A good working knowledge of popular fashion trends, expensive brands and some experience listing and selling on platforms such as Vinted is required.

Travel details

The opportunity is at The Cairn Centre, 83-85 Dunnikier Road, Kirkcaldy, between 10.30am and 3pm. Volunteers are required to make their own way to the shop and will have the equivalent of the cost of a bus fare returned to them as travel expenses.
