Good Neighbour

NEW PROJECT!
The Good Neighbours Forth Valley project supports people across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire who may be feeling lonely, isolated or in need of a little extra help. The project aims to strengthen local communities by encouraging neighbourliness, reducing social isolation and supporting people to live independently with confidence and dignity.
As a Good Neighbours Volunteer, you will offer friendly, informal support to people in your local community. This could be through a friendly visit or chat, helping with small practical tasks, or offering support to attend appointments or social activities. Tasks are usually short-term or one-off and are designed to fit around your availability.
You can choose what tasks you would like to help with and when, making this a fully flexible volunteering role.
What you might help with:
Friendly chats, visits or phone calls
Helping with shopping or collecting prescriptions
Accompanying someone to an appointment or social activity
Light household tasks or small odd jobs
Gardening or outdoor help
Helping someone feel more connected to their community
There are many other opportunities that will come up as a good neighbour. You’ll be supported throughout your volunteering journey by a named member of staff and will be part of a friendly, supportive volunteer network. Whether you can offer a little time occasionally or help more regularly, your support can have a meaningful impact.
