Centre Volunteer

Prepare all rooms for the various activities – including setting up resources for 1:1 and/or group sessions and ensuring the lounge and quiet rooms are tidy and welcoming.

Provide a reception service - by enabling access for clients via the secure door entry system, meeting and greeting families and showing them to The Haven rooms.

Ensure all family members are settled and comfortable in the appropriate rooms, before and after their nurse and/or wellbeing appointments, and make tea and coffee for clients if required.
Carry out general administration tasks to support delivery of the centre based client services and wider Haven activities.


Undertake general housekeeping tasks at the end of the session, (e.g. ensuring resources are cleared away, dishes washed and rooms tidied).
Support service delivery/evaluation through: e.g. supporting clients to be involved in group activities; providing feedback to The Haven nurse of observations of clients within group settings; distribution and collation of short evaluation questionnaires.

Travel expenses

Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed and mileage will be paid at current HMRC standard rate.
