We’re looking for kind, patient and non-judgmental volunteers to help run a weekly one hour conversation session at the Barrhead Centre. ESOL experience is preferred but not essential; what matters most is a welcoming attitude and a willingness to encourage conversation.
This role is a great opportunity to develop communication and facilitation skills while making a real difference to people’s lives.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome participants and help them feel comfortable
- Starting and guiding friendly group conversations
- Encouraging everyone to take part and share
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment

Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
